Honoring Julia Marthaler
Today, we pause to honor and remember one of our beloved volunteers, Julia Marthaler. Julia was a shining light in our community—compassionate, kind-hearted, and deeply devoted to the wellbeing of both people and animals. Her gentle spirit and loving nature touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
From a young age, Julia's life was guided by a profound connection to animals. Her childhood was filled with joyful moments spent with her springer spaniel, Luke, with whom she shared a loyal and unbreakable bond. She found purpose and peace at the horse ranch where she worked, and she dedicated her time and heart to volunteering at the Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter, always wearing a bright smile when surrounded by the creatures she loved so dearly.
Julia rescued a puppy and gave it a life full of care and affection, just as she did with everyone who crossed her path. Her favorite hobbies—horseback riding, spending time outdoors, and being with family and the dogs they all cherished.
Julia's love was unconditional, her joy contagious, and her presence unforgettable. We are forever grateful for the time, energy, and love she gave so generously. She made a lasting impact not just in our organization, but in the hearts of so many.
Though she may no longer be with us in person, Julia's spirit lives on in every life she touched, every animal she cared for, and every act of kindness she inspired.
Thank you, Julia. You will always be missed, always remembered, and always loved.
